Mouse Over Help

Post by Scott » Fri May 05, 2006 11:02 am

Say, I was wondering if you might consider adding the Mouse Over Help stuff to your symbols. I think this might really be a helpful addition for learning all of them. By hovering my mouse over a symbol it would tell me what it means rather than my having to stop what I'm doing and go look through the help file to try and figure it out.

And it would provide reinforcement for flakey memories. :-)

It is something we have wanted to do for a long time.

We are hampered by our maturity. BrainStorm was orginal developed under windows for Windows 3.11 and the code has migrated upwards to 32 bit versions as time has gone by. The code is written in manually optimised and very tight C++ in an environment in which widgets and wihzzies such as drop-in tooltips are simply not a component.

What this means is that tooltip help is in the WIBNI (wouldn't it be nice if...) list for development but that less difficult changes have taken precedence.

Silly man! I would NEVER allow maturity to get in the way of a good time. You need to reassess your life. 8)
